To celebrate the continued success of its ‘Fresh Talent’ promotion and to kick start the new year, WH Smith Travel will be holding a book signing event at Heathrow's Terminal 5 on Friday 8 January 2016. The event will provide passengers travelling through the airport with the opportunity to personally meet six of the latest selected authors in this season’s campaign and pick up a signed copy of their book.
The titles in this latest selection offer avid readers the chance to get 2016 underway by adding something new to their beloved bookshelves. With twelve fantastic titles from new and emerging authors, the only decision to be made is which book to delve into first in the departure lounge. Whether a literary novel, a thriller, or a romance – the ‘Fresh Talent’ list has something to suit everyone’s taste.
WH Smith Travel Fiction Books Buyer, Matt Bates, commented: 'We’re delighted to be hosting such a great event to kick start the new year following the success of ‘Fresh Talent’ in 2015 and remain committed to making this promotion a destination stop for our book reading customers as they travel through the airport.'
Jonathan Coen, Heathrow’s Retail Director said: 'From the very earliest flights departing from the airport 70 years ago to today, Heathrow passengers have always been keen readers. A flight is a perfect place to lose yourself in a good book and with more than 75 million passengers travelling through Heathrow each year, the airport is a great place for new authors to showcase their latest release.'
