Case Luggage today announced its plans to launch a brand new store concept at Heathrow when Terminal 2 begins operation in June 2014.
The store, which will stock a selection of the best brands of luggage, leather goods, travel accessories, and travel gadgets has been designed around a series of digital screens for the ultimate in visual effects.
Raylian London Ltd Creative Director, Nick Short worked closely with Case to develop the concept for Terminal 2. The outlet will feature a central 'lighthouse' together with full height LCD monitors that can be programed to show synchronised or independent designs.
Stephen Spitz, the Group CEO and Chairman commented:
‘We wanted to open a store completely different to the usual kind of luggage store – the environment will be interesting, technologically advanced and will offer a number of exclusive lines, as well as a range of luggage and travel accessories from the world’s top brands.’
The new Terminal 2, to be known as ‘Terminal 2: The Queen’s Terminal’, in honour of Her Majesty The Queen is the latest phase of the ten year, £11 billion transformation of Heathrow. Built and designed with passengers at its heart, Terminal 2 will be a spacious, open terminal with multi-lingual ambassadors and personal shoppers on hand to help customers make the most of their journey. Heathrow is home to some of the world’s most successful retail space with annual net sales of over £1.7 billion serving passengers from around 180 worldwide destinations.
Nic Crossick, the Group's Retail and Wholesale Director said:
‘Heathrow is a critical location for us as it introduces a completely new design for Case developed around our work in multi-channel retailing. Passengers will have access to a selection of premium travel and business brands such as TUMI and RIMOWA in an environment that has been developed to specifically engage through social media and visual entertainment. We hope that this store will set a new standard for our category and we are proud to be showcasing this at the UK’s hub airport.’
