Airlines and Heathrow have now decided the revised flight schedule for tomorrow. This aims to minimise the disruption to passengers caused by the forecasts of snow overnight and reduced visibility, together with possible freezing fog, on Sunday.
Passengers are advised to check with their airline. People whose flights are still 'scheduled' should arrive at the airport as normal. Passengers whose flights are 'cancelled' should not travel to the airport and instead should contact their airline to rebook or discuss alternative arrangements.
Further revisions to the schedule with additional cancellations may be made on a rolling basis. Passengers should continue to check with their airline for further updates. www.heathrow.com will also be updated on a rolling basis to show which flights are operating and which are cancelled during the following 12 hours.
Heathrow Chief Operating Officer, Normand Boivin, said:
"It is vital that only those passengers whose flights are shown as scheduled come to the airport. Passengers whose flights are shown as cancelled must not come to the airport but should contact their airline from home or their hotel. We deeply regret any disruption caused to passengers by the cold weather. Reducing the flight schedule means we can fly as many people as possible and return the airport to normal as quickly as possible."
