Yesterday the CAA informed stakeholders that it will next week publish a consultation document on the potential extension of the current Heathrow price controls by one year to 31 March 2014.
In response, Emma Gilthorpe, BAA's director of regulation, said:
"We are supportive of the Government's plans to modernise airport regulation in early 2012. Extending the current regulatory period is a sensible and pragmatic approach that allows the next review of price controls in 2014 to reflect the new Airport Economic Regulation Bill."
