McFly light up Heathrow this Christmas

Heathrow has switched on its first ever Christmas lights with the help of McFly. Dressed in pilot uniforms, the acclaimed pop rockers flicked the switch outside Terminal 5 Arrivals on 16th November before performing a surprise gig for staff and passengers.

Despite the chilly temperatures, McFly put on a warm welcome by serenading a crowd with hits such as Party Girl and Shine a Light from their new album, Above the Noise, for the first ever airport gig, as well as old favourites, including All About You and Star Girl.

The Christmas lights will remain on at the world’s busiest international airport for the whole of the festive season during which time three million passengers are expected to fly through Heathrow with nearly half a million between Saturday 19th December and Thursday 24th December alone.
